I knew this guy one that dropped out of high school, and made quite a decent living teaching music to people. He was really talented, and could easily have gotten a scholarship to a major music school, but he absolutely hated any form of authority. So he spent his time giving anybody who was interested an acoustic guitar lesson. The first one was usually free, but he had this really unique teaching style that made it really easy for people to learn. Pretty soon he had enough students to open his own studio, and how he is one of the most sought after music teachers in the area.
