Chief Compliance Officer Jobs

A chief compliance officer is responsible for the establishment and implementation of supervisory control policies and procedures for his or her organization and for ensuring that the organization’s operations are in compliance with both internal and external regulations. Other responsibilities of the post include acting as primary contact for the various compliance and regulatory bodies; advising the management on compliance-related aspects of business development and day-to-operations; and the successful implementation of these policies in all of the organization’s divisions. The position requires experience in monitoring, regulating, and auditing the policies and procedures for a large organization. The serious applicant must be well-versed in all the general corporate governance regulations, including health and safety regulations, securities regulations, tax regulations, the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, etc. Special expertise with various government rules and regulations pertaining to the area of the given firm’s operations is a must. Candidates for these jobs may be interested in similar positions such as senior compliance officer, compliance officer, compliance manager, executive compliance manager, vice president of compliance, and even assistant vice president of compliance.
